Online application for the Turkish residence permit

Firstly you need to make an online application. Don’t forget, you must apply for a residence permit within a month of your arrival in Turkey. You can make this application at https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/ or you can download the application from Google Play Store and App Store. If you are making a residence permit pre-application you need to click the “I lodge an application for the first time” if you are not you can go with the “I apply for the extension of my residence permit” button. If you made your application but weren't able to finish it, don't worry, you can complete the application at another time. And also don’t hesitate to contact Presidency of Migration Management officers by phone from 157.

After your application, you need to make an online appointment at the nearest Presidency of Migration Management office.

Required documents for Turkish residence permit application

To finish the application you need to prepare the necessary documents for a Turkish residence permit. Every type of application needs specific documents.

Required documents for the family residence permit

To apply as a family you need to prepare the documents listed below:

  • Residence permit application form,
  • Photocopy of passport or passport substitute document,
  • Four pieces of biometric photographs,
  • Documents/receipts for payment of residence permit fee and card fee,
  • Photocopy of marriage certificate or document proving marriage.

  • The original of the e-signed/signed and stamped/sealed document showing that no social assistance has been received in the last three years,

  • Valid health insurance,
  • Document showing the registration in the Address Registration System,
  • Document of Residence.
